Tír na nÓg is a new Irish musical written by Shauna Carrick and Aidan Byrne. It is bilingual, using both Irish and English to tell the story. In this version, we explore the character of Niamh and her journey, and learn what exactly happened in the land of Tír na nÓg.
Due to incredible demand, we are not accepting any more applications for auditions. Please do keep an eye on our site for future projects!
Yes! Well, as long as nothing changes in relation to government guidelines.
The workshop will be happening in the dlr Mill Theatre, Dundrum from July 27th to August 1st. The schedule for the week is expected to be 10am-6pm each day.
If you are unable attend those dates, we ask that you refrain from auditioning. There will be future versions on this project, so keep an eye out for those!
Well, cúpla focal would certainly help out! But you are not expected to have any level of Irish. We will be able to provide the phonetics of songs if you need them. Your talent and passion are much more important! And hopefully you'll learn a bit along the way.
The musical blends traditional Irish music, folk music and musical theatre, and we would love to hear your interpretation of that. That being said, sing whatever shows off your talent best, be it in English or Irish!
Have a listen on our Videos page (or on our Instagram & TikTok) to get the vibe of the music and the show.
Yes, there will be a flat fee for taking place in the workshop.
For in person auditions, we will provide you with an audition pack prior to your audition. This will include more information about the characters and readings you can prepare in advance. Please prepare two songs, but we will most likely only ask to hear one.
For video auditions, after you fill in the Video Audition form on our Auditions page, we will provide you with an audition pack. There will be further information in that email about what you should send us.
You can find a breakdown of the characters here. Feel free to audition for multiple roles if you simply can't choose one!
All auditionees must be over the age of 18 to take part in this workshop.
